Income Levels - Gapminder At Level 2, people earn between $2 and $8 a day. Almost half the world’s population lives at this income level. Level 3 is made up of people who live on between $8 – $32 per day. The richest billion people on earth live at Level 4, where their income is more than $32 a day
How many are rich and how many are poor? - Gapminder The poorest live in less than 1 dollar a day. Many people live with 10 dollars a day, while other live with 100 dollars a day. There are around 1 billion people in the world who live with less than 1 dollar per day. More than half of the world population lives with less than 10 dollars a day. And some people live with more than 100 dollars per day.

And despite what many people think, f ar more people live in high-income countries (17%) than in low-income countries (10%).
